Just started to read this in English, it looks ok, but i have read loads of "Racism" books lately. Does anyone rate it? I have to read up to chapter 5 by tuesday. And i was trying to get on with Nineteen Minutes! *Hmmp*

Never read it and don't intend too. Yes judging by the first few pages it looks a very odd book.

I really want to read this. Will have to go and buy it at some point or get it out of the library.

I'm not sure, but i have an idea. It is a sin to kill a mockingbird. It's like saying: "If you say someone against Whites, and your not of the same colour, then you should be punished" Which happens in the book, however, i haven't finished and may be wrong.

Near the ending now, it is actually really scary at the end. And lets just say you get a handful of "Boo".

I thought it was quite good the idea of the mocking bird is that mocking birds I meant to represent beauty and that it is wrong to kill them I think not sure but I thought it had something to do with that...part do was by far the better half

Yeah it was I knew someone was going to die but to be honest I expected it to be someone like Dill Not Mr Ewell but I'm glad he did. I think the book was better than the film though. the ending definitely had me on the edge of my seat.
