I did this for GCSE. It's actually a really entertaining book. Extraodinarily well-written.

I cried at the end... when George kept telling Lennie to look to the future and the rabbit pen and then he *cries*

I hated the book at first! In class everyone had to read it at the same time, but because i read fast most of the lesson was spent drawing robots in my english book waiting for people to catch up...¬_¬ but when i read it outside school i liked it!

I have to read it for exams at the end of the year, and it is a good-ish book. It ain't my cup of tea, but it does hold meaning...

Yeah we had to read it for school as well but it was a really good book and really sad. And the film is good too. Lennie is so sweet and it's so sad..

Heard this is a classic, it's not required reading where I am, or at least not yet, although I'll definitely be reading this in the near future.

Just been doing this in English. Very good book, thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Only bad thing is, is that I have a 1200 word essay on it on Monday. Apart from that, excellent book.

^ I've done that essay I believe. And it sucks.
I enjoyed reading the book at home. I did not however, enjoy looking in detail at every single word or phrase Steinbeck used within the book to see it's "meaning."
I swear to God, does anybody here ACTUALLY think authors went through their books putting in hidden meanings and making sure they used similies and suchlike? Because all English teachers seem to have this belief. >_<

I enjoyed the book and the film, they were great for writing an essay because most of the characters represented something and there was loads to write about them. The book was really well writen though, and the ending almost made me cry. D:
