Hey guys you can find this book on Amazon (both .co.uk and .com), and it comes with a free sample. It's pretty good and there are more books planned in the series. It's available at a decent price so take a look, 'kay?
Here is an excerpt from the beginning....
The story follows Evangeline as she comes to term with her gift/magic and has to rescue her baby brother before it becomes too late.
Here is an excerpt from the beginning....
Evangeline Rider leaned against the doorpost of the science block, right at the edge of the school playing field, staring into the pouring rain. All around her, the bustle and noise of unsupervised teenagers ebbed and flowed, but she noticed none of it. Out in the middle of the field, a circle of indistinct figures danced in the wet.
Not for the first time, Eve asked herself if she had some kind of brain tumour, or was perhaps completely mad. She knew that the figures were real, she had felt them, touched them, grabbed their squishy bodies. She had even been bitten by one once, the pale circular scar still on her wrist. Researching mental illness on the internet had never helped ease her mind, just worried her further. So mostly she tried to ignore them, but the swaying, stamping dance was oddly beautiful.
Why the Glym danced when the rain was heavy, she did not know. To be honest, she only knew that they were called the Glym because Hasenpfeffer had told her so. He was a talking hare, which didn’t help any worries about her state of mind. He had tried to persuade her of her sanity, and been quite put out when she had pointed out that he was likely to be a symptom.
“Glym?”
Evangeline whirled round at the word, staring hard at the boy, Ethan Brand, who had spoken, just behind her. “What! I mean, what?”
He appeared baffled for a minute, and then smiled that lopsided grin that always took her breath away. “I don’t know; You said it. What is a Glym anyway?”
