So, I looked through the book threads and I didn't see this, so I think it's new....
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else has read Unwind and or Unwholly? Unwholly just came out yesterday, so I'm only like halfway through it.
I really love this series. It's such a social commentary! My only complaint is that there was waaaayy too much time between Unwind and Unwholly, that I had to go back a read a synopsis of Unwind to remember what happened.
If you don't know what Unwind is about, here's the Amazon description: In a society where unwanted teens are salvaged for their body parts, three runaways fight the system that would "unwind" them
Connor's parents want to be rid of him because he's a troublemaker. Risa has no parents and is being unwound to cut orphanage costs. Lev's unwinding has been planned since his birth, as part of his family's strict religion. Brought together by chance, and kept together by desperation, these three unlikely companions make a harrowing cross-country journey, knowing their lives hang in the balance. If they can survive until their eighteenth birthday, they can't be harmed -- but when every piece of them, from their hands to their hearts, are wanted by a world gone mad, eighteen seems far, far away.
What did you all think??

Stupid question, but is this the thing by Neal Shusterman? I've been recommended it but haven't been able to find it.

^yes! I would highly recommend it! I'm sure you could find it online. It's super popular here, but I have no idea if it's gonna much attention worldwide.

I've heard of it, and had a chance to read it for literature circles in English, but read Tom Sawyer instead.
I've heard it's really good though, so maybe I'll check it out.

I love this book! I had no idea it was a trilogy, and now I'm really excited to check out the new book. I thought the book was not only very entertaining, but also very thought-provoking. I had a 2-hour philosophical discussion with my friend after finishing the book I thought that the world the book constructs wasn't very realistic or convincing, but it did trigger important questions on morality and life, and for that reason, I absolutely loved the book.... Although it's been years since I last read Unwind, so I might have to re-read it...
