I don't think this has been done before so... I read The Catcher In The Rye a few years ago and found it a bit weird. Is this just me? Maybe it's because I was a bit young and so probably couldn't appreciate it? What do you guys think?

the catcher in the rye is a quality book. maybe read it again, now that you're older and everything. try to pay less attention to the events that happen, and more attention to the way that he feels about them, or what these events make him think. also, maybe watch john greens youtube videos on the catcher in the rye. i found those very interesting as i read the book.

Catcher in the Rye is an amazing book, but not the best school book I've ever read (surprisingly enough, I preferred A Tale of Two Cities). It is still really awesome though. I personally liked it because I connected to Holden a lot. I agree with Liam that it has less to do with the plot and more to do with Holden himself - it's a lot more character-driven than your average book.
