I do LOVE art. I've never had any official lessons in anything... but I like to take photos, play with photoshop, and draw. I haven't had a lot of time to do much work recently, but my latest piece is a sketch I did on my tablet. ^^ meet Gabriel. He is the main character in my novel. If he looks at all familiar, it's because I used a picture I found on the internet as a guide. He's not quite done, but I don't know when I'll have time to finish him. He needs a bit more shading before I'm happy with him. ^^This is also Gabriel. He's REALLY not done. (I did use the same guy as a model, though). I don't know if I'll ever finish this one... I think I need actual lessons to make him look good enough. I drew this one on real paper, not my tablet... ^^This is Archer. He's one of my main characters in my novel, but not THE main character. He might be my favorite character, though. He's another tablet baby.

I like Archer veeery much! <3 Love the pose, and clothes and everything. And for someone who hasn't had proper lessons you're not half bad at all! I particularily like your paper-version of Gabriel, and i'd like to see more of your work like that!
(I've drifted from tablets, back to mechanical pencils/paint at the moment.. :3 )

thank you! And I love my tablet like it is my child...
I would love to do more traditional art, but I rarely have time and I'm much faster with a tablet. If I get into the school I want to go to for college, though, I'll have to take a drawing class, so I'll finally actually get to learn. My school doesn't offer very good art courses. =(
Oh! and I'm glad you like Archer. He's probably my favorite character that I've ever thought up.

I like them but I think the paper one is the best I did a Life Drawing class once (drawing old, fat naked people) and it was immense fun and oddly not weird at all even though it was at school so I'd defiantly recommend that if you're interested! I like the idea of drawing your characters, it adds more meaning to the story in a way.

I totally know where you're coming from here, I've been planning/writing this novel for a while now. It's still far from finished but I've been drawing my characters loads. Maybe I'll post some up here :/ Also, pretty cool pics you got there

^^ You should do it! I'd love to see them. It definitely really helps me to draw my characters. It makes them feel more alive, in a way. My novel is nearly done, but I'm not really sure how long it is... My computer says it's around 250 pages, but my documents are averaging 800 words a page, when it should be about 250, so it may be MUCH longer. Ugh. Still trying to figure that out.
