Just a general thread on Book Club suggestions.
My thought was that if someone had to read a novel for school, then we could all read it and help give the person a broad understanding of the novel?

That's a really good idea. Or if a new book of a popular series is coming out and everyone's going to read it anyway. Like the new Artemis Fowl, or the new CHERUB.
At the same time, if we said the next book's theme was vaguely action/fantasy what would people be interested in reading? What's that one book you've been meaning to read for ages but never got round to?
One fantasy book that I've been meaning to read forever is Inkheart so I think that would be a good book club book, but maybe everyone else has already read it.

I haven't, just the first chapter was read to me ages ago; nice idea.
I think it's safe to say we'll put Shadow Wave on October (unless it comes out earlier than the 10th of September).

I read Inkheart, and I didn't enjoy it. It's to stretched out, and I didn't think the plot was that good.

I've read Journey to the Riversea, it was ok but not amazing. Not one I would want to repeat but then if everyone was keen I wouldn't mind sitting one out.
The Oracle I've not heard of, who's it by?

My suggestion is that we either have a option of what book to read, (Like a poll of somesort), and we vary the genre of books we read.

Dont start me on Inkheart. I read it and it was ok. I read Inkspell. Took a while longer, but it was ok. Reading Inkdeath- it really is death. D:
Behemoth is coming out in October I believe. *cant wait* I'm checking out other books.
Also, Im not sure if I should join, because I might not be able to go get the books~ The library is full of old books, and rarely gets books for people our age. Also my parents would hate taking me to the shops every day. I'd have to get the books with my own money, and I was saving up for. Something. Probably Behemoth but I cant remember. The point is, I might not be able to get all the books so I dunno if I should join the book club.
There's a book called Glimpse by Carol Lynch Williams. It's 496 pages.. I dunno. Just looks a bit interesting to me. D:

One of John Marsden's The Tomorrow Series, they're great novels and they're not to long either so probably good for the TTBF BC.

Yeah only a book a month, and you can definitely do the first one Madi, every library in the world will have a copy of The Catcher in the Rye, it's a classic.
