I should be kept away from charity shops. I can't help spending money XP Hard back, first edition of the 1981 version of Midnight's Children. For £1 £2 for Bloodhound by Tamora Pierce (my favourite author in the world ever!) I already had this but I lent it to friend just after it came out and never got it back -___- So bought it anew for £2. 99p for another book from the author of Lolita. 50p. This was one of the world book night books and I've been wanting to read it since they read a really good extract at the world book night event. I have been told that this book is a must read for jasper fforde fans. £1.49. And this one looked very funny. Also £1.49.

I don't usually buy books and I'm always a bit apprehensive of charity shops for some reason. Do they look new or are they normally kind of bent or something?

It completely depends, some look good as new, most have at least something like a bend in the spine or something. But i'd rather have a book with a slight bend or something and save like 95%.

Shades of Grey by Jasper Fforde? It's good but if I was picking between any new Jasper Fforde book I would get Lost in a Good Book, the sequel to The Eyre Affair. Possibly the best book he's ever written.

Nah, it's Rhys' recommendation, I forget the author now... Anna someone?
But yes! I will add that to my list, especially as Jasper lives in Hay. xD

I got Everything is Illuminated by Jonathan Sans-Foer. Not that far in but so far it's wrecking my head in the-good-way.

Yes, or at least so far. It was only published about october last year. I don't know if there's any plans for a sequel.
