They're both pretty standard pictures...I'm sorry to say. The book one particularly is quite bland- seeing as only the page is in the photo, it just looks like you're trying to show us a sentence or something rather than making it look good/arty.
I suggest you go walkabout and try photograph something a little less standard than a guitar (I've seen plenty of those, and they're overdone). Also, I suggest using light and interesting angles to capture a scene- that makes it much more interesting.
If you know about the Golden Ration, use that in your photos too.
What camera are you using?
Also, don't take this post personally...I'm quite a harsh critiquer, and when I do critique it's normally with people I know reasonably well and I know won't take it up the wrong way. So yeah, sorry if it bothers you :/

So yeah, sorry if it bothers you :/ I critique honestly on DA, and they ALWAYS take it the wrong way. Plus, I've heard of the golden ratio, but never the golden "ration"

I've added some more from a ride up a hill near me. These were using my phone camera so don't expect anything amazing. I like the panoramic mode though. They're both pretty standard pictures...I'm sorry to say. If you know about the Golden Ration, use that in your photos too. The book one was actually to get a texture for Photoshop, I actually took loads of photo's of brick and stone aswell. Also; never heard of it.

The Beach/cliff ones are pretty good; just something to do is to maybe frame the pictures better: panoramas are fun to do, but aren't always artistically appropriate. If you focussed on the beach and the rivers the low tide (I presum) has carved into the mud, and maybe include some cliff, it would probably look better because the eye would be drawn towards certain areas rather than scanning the whole picture. The Golden ratio is something you can apply to your photography: the idea is, that instead of having the focal point in the centre of the image, you have it in a two-thirds along region. In this picture you can see that the tiger has been placed in the golden third. The regions where the lines of the grid overlap are all golden thirds.

And added some pictures of the sea which I took yesterday >.<

The Beach photos- are a bit plain, and there isn't a focal point- which is essential really. All you see is a progression of colour- the pebbles, the see and then the sky.
(Also note that all the Critique I'm doing is from an artisitic point of view- in the attempt to make your photography more of an art rather than something to document holidays etc)
