Ok, this is starting to get very put off. So, we shall start on the 10th, if that's ok with everyone? I'm fairly certain that Michael should have his copy be then, or get it soon enough to be able to easily catch up.

Hmm, It's a very odd novel I'm only about 20 pages in, and everything is really weird!

Ok, home with my copy again and just read the first chapter.
The tone is so different to how it is in the later books (having just read book 6 a couple of weeks ago) it feels very much like a zane-y crime novel). But yeah, I still love it. Love the clearness of the time travel throughout it. It also sets up the world, which is obviously like ours with little differences, eg: the crimian war lasting 130 years rather than like 1, there being dodos but not ducks etc. You think that maybe this is our world where something changed or vice versa. I also like the literary importance in this world. The fact that beggers quote longfellow rather than sing songs, and there is a police force for literature. I like the idea of a book centric world. Oh and the satire that is brought about through things like duty on cheese. It's ridiculous, and humourous, but then you think, we /do/ have a duty on alcohol...

You literally just have to sit back and let it happen xD. It's so funny, dodo's and all.
