Tomorrow When The War Began (Series) - John Marsden
As many of you should know, well, you Australian's should at least, is that the much loved book series "Tomorrow When The War Began" by John Marsden has reciently been turned into a film (Which I did see and was very impressed with xD)
But back to the books. Because we are a book forum after all. And they are sexytimeing fantastic books xD
There are 7 in the series; Tomorrow When The War Began, The Dead Of The Night, The Third Day - The Frost, Darkness Be My Friend, Burning For Revenge, The Night Is For Hunting and The Other Side of Dawn.
They follow the story of a group of teenagers who went on a camping trip in a little place called "Hell". While they are on this camping trip, invasion occurs and the country is taken over by unidentified invaders (*grrr*) and the group is forced to hide, fight, survive.
That's a pretty quick summary of the series, but it in no way does it justice. This series has been one of those series' that you know you will never forget reading. The kind of series that leaves you sitting on the stairs all day reading simply because you have no idea what's going to happen next. Like even right to the end of the series I had no clue how the hell it was suppose to end!
It has both aspects of relationships and a crap load of action which actually got my heart racing. It's one of the series' that just affect you. Leaves you just without words.
If you can get your hands on a copy DO! READ IT! It's just amazing series. Though it is slightly depressing - though that can be expected of a series surrounding a war.... So maybe don't read it if you are on the verge of a mental breakdown xD
BUY. READ.
You won't regret it; promise.
Also, there is a sub series by the same author called "The Ellie Cronicals." I am yet to read those but I am highly willing to
So yeah, fantastic series that my dodgy review gives no justice to...
READ IT! >.<
