Motoring through Gone right now, hopefully in time to get to Hunger. *gasp* Will Grayson, Will Grayson! I want to read that, I heard an interview with John Greene, and read a little at school. *want* Yeah, I saw John Green on Saturday and he was absolutely amazing. I will be reading Will Grayson, Will Grayson as soon as I've gone Hunger. I'm also hurriedly reading Gone XP

Walsall?
Ok, so I'm really behind but I am now reading Gone, and will finish it and move onto Hunger.
So far I really liked the concept of Gone, all the adults disappearing, it was very Lord of the Flies but I don't think Grant is doing it very well so far (i'm only like 50 pages in though, so this could change). But to me it feels too fast and a bit sloppy and I'm not very keen on the magic he's put in place. But anyway, I shall see how it continues.

The magic is a bit all over the place, he doesn't really specify or make it out to be anything big.
Walsall is where my dad works.

You should try and get a copy by the time I finish Gone, otherwise, as far as I can tell, I'll be the only person reading it. Currently 236 pages into Gone and I'm starting to get to grips with the magic thing. I'm kinda just annoyed at the main characters atm though. I wanted Sam to take charge from the start and his shying away from being leader just irritated me. Also one thing that really throws me about this book is some times I find it quite childish, like it's talking down to you and other times the violent content like with Bette's death and the dead baby they find is very adult.

Mmm. It is rather mismatched. The explanation is short and somewhat cryptic. The one thing, if I remember correctly, that annoyed me most was cutting to Lana when Sam and..(i've forget her name dammit...) Astrid are in danger. Hmmm, I'll see if Hunger's in exeter when we go shopping this week. =)
